As Educational Director at the Angel’s Crest Zoo, Joanna Grace is more used to dealing with unruly children than she is psycho killers, but when she finds Jack Higgins, zoo CEO, floating dead in the pool of the new polar bear exhibit, she has no choice but to discover who the killer is before she becomes the next victim. Jack Higgins death seems to be causing more celebrating than grieving. The police are setting their sights on the Zoo Director, Vince Ramboldi, because of the well known animosity between the two men, not to mention an unsolved case of embezzlement. Jo refuses to believe the zoo’s gruff but compassionate leader could possibly kill Jack. She decides to run her own investigation and discovers no shortage of suspects, from the long-time mistress he betrayed to the business partner he cheated, Jack was universally hated. The deeper Jo digs into Jack’s murder, the more danger she finds waiting for her.
